Jaque's Story
I have had many homes from San Diego, to San Francisco, to New York City, to Southeast Alaska in my adult life. Something always brought me back to sunny San Diego. I'm sure glad it did.
Chelsea's Story
I grew up in a small town in Central California with the Seqouia National Park as my backyard. I loved dancing and soccer. I moved to San Diego for university and never looked back. I'm sure glad I did.
Our Story
We randomly met in the Spring of 2012. Chelsea was playing pick-up soccer and Jaque, visiting from New York, rolled up to the park on her BMX bike. We don't remember who introduced themselves first, but either way, neither of us thought twice about it! Fast forward two and a half years. We re-met at Campazanga 2014, an annual trip Chelsea and her friends take to Joshua Tree National Park. Jaque showed up that year with a bum leg in a full brace. We hung out for two days: Jaque teaching Chelsea how to tie knots and Chelsea, true to form, asking Jaque questions until she knew her whole life. That was the beginning.
